What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a tried and tested medical system with a history spanning 2000 years. By working to help maintain your body's equilibrium, it involves the insertion of very fine needles into specific points on the body to regulate the flow of 'qi', your body's vital energy. Traditional acupuncture can be an effective therapy to help restore balance and promote physical and emotional harmony.
The effect of acupuncture is both stimulating and calming as balance is restored.
What can it treat?
People observe benefit for a range of conditions, please refer to her website or contact Catherine direct to find out more.
How many sessions do I need?
Some of you may well experience immediate relief or significant changes after a few treatments, however despite this, acupuncture is a cumulative process and a course of treatment is usually required. Most people will start with weekly sessions for 4-6 weeks or 6-10 weeks for more chronic conditions then come less frequently as their condition improves. This is not set in stone and frequency is adjusted to suit your requirements and symptom progression.
Top up/maintenance treatments are advisable to maintain the benefits of treatment.
